The Country House Restaurant is a taste of Vermont. We prepare delicious mouthwatering meals using local fresh ingredients.

Our front of the house staff makes it their priority to ensure that every guest has exceptional service. Whether your schedule allows for a breakfast, lunch or dinner stop, we are here to make your trip through Vermont unforgettable.

The Country House is conveniently located on Vermont Route 7, between Middlebury and Rutland. Pittsford is home to the New England Maple Museum and 4 of Vermont iconic Covered Bridges for your group to visit on their tour. We are just 15 minutes from Proctor home of the Proctor Marble Museum and Route 4 East, where popular group lodging properties in Rutland, such as Best Western Inn & Suites Rutland / Killington, Hampton Inn Rutland / Killington, and Holiday Inn Rutland / Killington can be found. The Country House Restaurant is also a short drive to or from popular Middlebury attractions like Danforth Pewter, UVM Morgan Horse Farm and lodging like the Middlebury Inn.

3. Smoked ham off the bone with white Cheddar cheese on white bread served with handcut fries

4. Homemade cold Meatloaf sandwich on white bread served with handcut fries

5. Vermont cheeseburger covered with melty American cheese and served with handcut fries

6. Veggie burger served with handcut fries

7. Oven roasted turkey sandwich on wheat bread covered in gravy and served with handcut fries

Dinner Selections - $25 PP

All selections include a fresh garden salad along with your dessert and beverage

1. 4 Rack of BBQ Pork Ribs served with mashed potatoes and carrots

Let me introduce us – I am Don Pelton, owner/operator of the Country House Restaurant as you are planning future tours or if you are just visiting our scenic state this summer or fall, we would like to invite you to add The Country House Restaurant to your itineraries.
